Memo to people in public life, including on-camera TV reporters: The camera (or microphone) is always on—even when you think you've handed the shot back to the studio.
Although . . . the guy worked in New York City. Doesn't everyone in New York already talk like that anyway? ;-) So why'd he get canned?
I know, I know—to teach him a lesson. Or maybe because broadcasters are so afraid of the FCC these days.
